Details of trip

DAY 1:
Scheduled arrival at Keflavík International Airport where you will pick up your rental car, a cat I ( MMC Pajero4 X 4 SW or similar vehicle. Next you’ll drive to Reykjavík where you’ll spend the first night at a four-star Reykjavík hotel.

DAY 2:
Golf at Oddur Golf Club. The course was inaugurated in August 1997 and is now considered one of the finest golf courses in Iceland located in beautiful surroundings in the immediate vicinity of the greater area of Urridavatnsdalir, about a 20-minute drive from downtown Reykjavik. The golf course is surrounded by lava. It is an exhilarating experience to play golf in the midst of nesting moor birds and enjoy their singing, far away from the city’s noise and hustle. After golfing you’ll drive to Hella and stay at Hótel Rangá, a luxury countryside resort and restaurant (approx. one-hour drive).

DAY 3:
The Hella golf course is only a five-minute drive from your hotel. The Hella golf course is a link course even though it is situated 20 kilometers from the sea due to the sand and lava. It is considered one of the finest link courses in Iceland offering an uninterrupted view of stunning mountains, glaciers and Mount Hekla. The course offers a great opportunity to experience golf in an absolutely unique setting. The course was expanded to 18 holes at this location in 1986. After golfing you’ll drive to Flúdir. There you will stay at Icelandair Hotel Fludir, a fine three-star country hotel with good food at the restaurant.

DAY 4:
Flúdir golf course in the morning, located only five minutes from your hotel by car. Fludir golf course might be defined as a forest course. The golf course is located in the middle of south Iceland near the village Fludir, only 100 kilometers from the capital, Reykjavík. The course is situated on a farm called Efra-Sel and is surrounded by trees, which are placed along the fairways and the areas in between. The river Litla-Laxá plays a key role on some of the fairways. The course is relatively easy to walk. The Icelandic name for the golf course is “Selsvollur”. In the afternoon, visit Geysir geothermal area andGullfoss falls, two of Iceland’s biggest tourist attractions, only an hour drive away. Remember to try the pool at Flúdir. Stay another night at Flúdir.

DAY 5:
Drive to Reykjavík via Thorlákshofn on the south coast to play this quite difficult course by the sea.Thorlákshofn golf course is one of the true links golf courses in Iceland located in the southern part of Iceland. The golf course is located by the seaside near the village Thorláksofn, only 51 kilometers from the capital, Reykjavík. The course is situated on sandy terrain where sand hills, small lakes and ponds play an important role. Next you’ll travel on to Reykjavík. Stay overnight at a four-star hotel in Reykjavík.

DAY 6:
Drive 15 minutes to play at the Reykjavík Golf Club. The Grafarholt golf course is the oldest 18-hole golfcourse in Iceland. The Grafarholt golf course is the oldest 18-hole golf course in Iceland. The course is recognized as Iceland’s premier championship venue and has hosted many European and Nordic tournaments.The course designer used the existing rugged and varied landscape to produce arguably the toughest championship golf course in Iceland with fairways aligned with lava and heather, requiring the golfer to use his imagination if he wants to deliver a good score. The magnificent views over the city of Reykjavík make this aunique golfing experience. Stay overnight at the same four-star hotel in Reykjavík.

DAY 7:

Depart from Keflavík International Airport. Return rental car at airport.
