The 12th anual IAGTO award ceremony took place in Belek Turkey. At the ceremony, Iceland was nominated together with 5 other Golf destination as the undiscovered Golf destination of the year for 2012. Iceland was also nominated in 2011.
Bulgaria got the award in this category for 2012.

The 11th anual IAGTO award ceremony took place at the City of Art and Science in Valencia Spain on the 18. November 2010. At the ceremony, Iceland was nominated together with 5 other golf destination as the undiscovered golf destination of the year for 2011.
Prince Edward Islands in Canada got the price in this category.
